About the size of a telephone book, it weighs 8 lbs. and is about 25 percent smaller than the previous ThinkCentre model.
Blue Sky is also the first full-functioning PC to run on 45 watts of power, meaning it can be powered by a solar panel or roughly the amount of electricity needed for three compact fluorescent light bulbs, a Lenovo spokeswoman said.
It will run either the Advanced Micro Devices Inc. Athlon 64x2 dual-core processor or the AMD Sempron processor, with several choices of Lenovo's ThinkCentre A61e, known as Blue Sky
Lenovo's ThinkCentre A61e, known as Blue Sky ultrasmall hard drives, ranging from 80GB to 750GB. It has 4GB of memory and comes preloaded with either the Windows Vista Business or Windows XP Professional operating system.
The introductory price only covers the PC. The prices of the monitor, keyboard and mouse are not included. The Blue Sky measures 8.5 by 11 inches in size -- the same as a sheet of paper, and it's 3 inches thick, about the size of large phone book. Shipping starts sometime in October.
Lenovo expects the Blue Sky to do best in the small business, education, medical and financial sectors, where desktop space is limited. It features a low-speed fan for quiet operation.
Blue Sky derived its code name, which has stuck, for its environmental sensibilities. It is made up of 90 percent reusable or recyclable materials, and its packaging is 90 percent recyclable. Because of its energy efficiency and recyclable materials, it is Lenovo's first product to win a Gold EPEAT rating from the Green Electronics Council.
Lenovo said the ultrasmall PC could be a success, noting that research firm IDC has forecast more than 52 percent growth for that product segment from 2005 to 2010.
The ThinkCentre A61e series offers a blend of essential features and technology, including Microsoft
Windows Vista Business 32, enhanced memory speed, integrated Gigabit Ethernet, a Preferred Pro
full-size keyboard, AMD processor technology, and numerous data protection tools.
The Lenovo implementation of Windows Vista takes a great user experience and makes it even
better. Lenovo systems include feature improvements in security, systems, recovery, and location
management.

Warranty service:
If required, your service provider provides repair or exchange service depending on the type of
warranty service specified below for the machine. A service technician will attempt to resolve your
problem over the telephone. You must follow the problem determination and resolution procedures.
Scheduling of service will depend upon the time of your call and is subject to parts availability.
Service levels are response time objectives and are not guaranteed. The specified level of warranty
service may not be available in all worldwide locations, additional charges may apply outside your
service provider's normal service area.
Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU) service:
Lenovo will ship CRUs to you for you to install, Tier 1 CRUs are easy to install whereas Tier 2
CRUs require some technical skill and tools. CRU information and replacement instructions are
shipped with your machine and are available from Lenovo at any time on your request. You may
request that a service provider install CRUs, at no additional charge, under the type of warranty
service designated for your machine. Lenovo specifies in the materials shipped with a replacement
CRU whether a defective CRU must be returned. When return is required, 1) return instructions and a

Lenovo does not receive the defective CRU within 30 days of your receipt of the replacement.
On-site service:
Your service provider will either repair or exchange the failing machine at your location and

You can obtain IWS through the method of service, such as CRU, depot, carry-in or on-site, provided
in the servicing country. Service methods and procedures vary by country, and some service or parts
may not be available in all countries. Service centers in certain countries may not be able to
